TU-204 Aircraft family
|
The Tupolev Tu-204 is an aircraft family around the Tu-204-100 baseline model optimized for comfortable transportation of up to 210 passenger on medium range mainline air routes. The aircraft family comprises passenger, cargo and quick conversion variants. All family members are fully compliant to the current Russian and European airworthiness requirements. They feature low operational costs, modern interior, low noise and emission levels, and lowfuel burn.
With the powerplant of two high-bypass Perm Motor Complex PS-90A turbofans and state-of-the-art avionics, the Tu-204 is in the class of its own for superb aerodynamics efficiency. Extensive leading edge devices provide very high lift in takeoff and landing configurations; in the cruise mode the Tu-204 is neat and sleek, making a highly fuel efficient, comfortable and safe airplane. «Aviastar SP», Russia's largest aviation plant in the Volgan city of
Ulianovsk, undertakes series production of this aircraft type.

Avionics

The passenger and cargo versions of the Tu-204
aircraft family feature improved avionics set of
Russian and imported items. The flight control
system is «fly-by-wire». There are also inertial
navigation coupled with satellite global positioning
and air collision avoidance (including «S» mode).
The onboard equipment allows for RVSM and
P-RNAV (RNP-1) operations. The Tu-204 avionics
and systems are compliant with all international
regulations currently applicable to operations on
international air routes. Landing system allows
ICAO Cat. II operations.

Tu-204C Cargo plane
This version features a large cargo door (width 3.408m, height 2.080m) on the starboard side of the fuselage. Besides, there are smaller doors for technical staff. The doors allow for easy loading/unloading operations on the entire nomenclature of standard containers and pallets weighting up to 30t. The cargo floor comes with rails and rollers. This helps moving containers and pallets along the cargo cabin.
The front section of the fuselage contains a special compartmentforthe technical personnel attending the cargo.
This compartment comes with passenger seats, canteen and a lavatory. The compartment is partitioned from the cargo cabin with a barrier net and an anti-smoke fence with a window for keeping an eye on the cargo. Loading and unloading operations are performed via a large cargo door
on the right side of the fuselage.

Lengthy cargoes can belaid down on two, three orfour pallets (from the above list) stacked one after another. Such
cargoes are moored to the pallets with help of special equipment. The maximum weight of a single lengthy cargo stored on two, three or four pallets should not exceed 3,100 kg. Maximum permitted length of the cargo is 10 m, and diameter 1m.

Equipment and interior
|
Customers can choose between a number of cabin layout options.
These include singe-class and two-class passengercabin arrangements.
Interiors available use advanced materials and modern equipment. They are fully compliant to Russian and international flight safety requirements. These interiors allow for a distinctive style that a particular airline customers may wantto have in theirairplane. The cabin comes with separate kitchens for the business and economy class passengers. Modern equipment available for the kitchens provide for class differences according to passenger cabin layout and food rations selected by a particular airline. A single water supply and drain system serve all kitchens and lavatories of the aircraft.
Interiors available are designed with esthetic ideas and functional capabilities in mind. A higher level of comfort and deeper feeling of spaceness are made possible thanks to the improved ergonomics of the seats (at a given pitch). A standard entertainment system (developed for a typical cabin layout) serves all economy class passengers with video and audio programs, AIROSHOW flight map and flight vital data. Economy class passengers can watch video program on LCD screens that otherwise are retracted into the ceiling. Airlines seeking solutions for demanding business class travellers may opt for one of the improved business class layouts. Such airlines are offered more comfortable seats and a state-of-the-art interactive inflight entertainment system. Selection of the improved seats and in-flight entertaining system make long haul flights more enjoyableforthe passengers.
Business class seats are equipped with LCD monitors, individual audio and video systems, and game devices. Services of a satellite-based communications system are available for business travellers.
