OJSC “Ilyushin Finance Co.” (IFC), an aviation leasing company, completed a deal to sell the Augusta helicopter to Germany in December 2020.
In the conditions of the global lockdown caused by the coronavirus pandemic, IFC managed to find a buyer from Germany, with whom all the terms of the transaction were agreed without face-to-face meetings using only e-mail, and the documents necessary for export were issued in a short time.
"This transaction was carried out within the framework of the approved program for the sale of unused assets and cost reduction. The professional and well-coordinated actions of the employees of IFC made it possible to close the deal just before the new year and transfer the helicopter to the buyer. The experience gained in the implementation of the helicopter will be used by IFC in future transactions related to the sale of AN-148 and IL-96-400T aircraft for export," said IFC’s CEO Sergey Turkin
